Karawatha is an outer southern suburb located in Brisbane, Queensland approximately 22 kilometres south east of the Brisbane CBD. According to the 2016 census, Karawatha recorded a population of only 19 people.

The suburb was formally known as Berrinba, however Berrinba is the name of the suburb to the south and is within the Logan City. The name of Karawatha originates from an Aboriginal word meaning a place with pine trees.

Karawatha is an unpopulated suburb with few very few dwellings and structures. The majority of the land is undeveloped park land known as Karawatha Forest.

The area that surround Karawatha include suburbs Runcorn, Kuraby, Stretton, Woodridge, Drewdale and Berrinba.
