About Eagleby
Eagleby is a suburb in Logan City, Queensland located on the Northeast of Beenleigh. According to the 2016 census Eagleby has a total population of 13,326 people.
Eagleby was a farming community established as part of the initial German settlement in the area. The suburb was originally known as Philadelphia however was later named Eagleby.
Educational institutions began in 1906 with the opening of Eagleby State School which closed in 1966, however reopened in 1988. A second primary known as Eagleby South State School opened in 1978 which remains open.
Major shopping centres and facilities are located at Beenleigh and the Logan Hyperdome at Loganholme. Eagleby is home to Twin Rivers Food Co Op and Beenleigh Distillery.
Eagleby has a water treatment plant that was established in 1967. The facility processes water in three stages before releasing it into the Albert River.
