Holmview is a newly developed residential suburb located south- west of Brisbane, within Logan City, Queensland. According to the 2016 census, the population of Holmview is 2,358 but is continuing to grow rapidly due to new suburban developments.
Much of the suburb was undeveloped bush, however in recent times the area how become very suburban.
The name Holmview gets its name from the railway station established in 1998 as the station had a view of the Loganholme area.
One of the major industries from 1973 established by August Thorsborne was the cordial and aerated waters manufactory, producing lemonade for the local people. He was also a proprietor of the Royal Hotel in Beenleigh during the 1880s. His brewery opened in 1994 and produced 14 to 16 hogsheads of beer per week. Thorsborne went into liquidation by 1891 and the brewery fell into disrepair.
Teys Brothers is the major industry within Holmview now. In 1980 the cattle yards which were once in Beenleigh had been moved to Holmview. This was when Teys established their new meatworks.

Holmview is residential in nature with most houses on small blocks and often accompanied with trees ranging in sizes due to the suburb being a bushland in recent times.
