Tallebudgera is a suburb located on the City of Gold Coast. The suburb has a more rural feel compared to other suburbs within the region. According to the 2016 Australian Census, Tallebudgera had a population of 3,667 people.
The name Tallebudgera means “good fish” and was originally known as Maybree. The traditional owners of the area were the Tul-gi-gin people of Australian Aborigines.
Tallebudgera is home to popular golf courses including: Coplicks Tallebudgera Golf Course on Guineas Creek Road, Meadow Park Golf Course on Valley Drive and Tally Valley Golf Club on Guineas Creek Road.
The Tallebudgera Post Office is a Heritage listed site located on 17 Trees Road, Tallebudgera. This building was added to the Queensland Heritage Register on the 1st October 2007.
There are two Educational instructions to Tallebudgera including St Andrews Lutheran College which is Prep to Year 12 and Tallebudgera State School Prep to Year 6.
