Should I Trim or Remove My Tree - which service is right for my tree?

When you notice your tree is having issues, it is important that you come to a decision on whether to trim or remove the tree. Tree removals can often be avoided by consulting with a professional tree service company in Brisbane, Logan or the Gold Coast.

When to Trim/Prune your tree:

Unless a tree is dead, dying, or problematic, trimming will usually be all that is required for minor issues.

  • If your tree has diseased parts, call an expert to trim away all the dead parts. Over time, the tree will grow back normally.

  • If your tree has dead branches, the dead branches should be trimmed. These branches can cause harm to your property and people. Once removed, your tree will most likely grow back

A good tree arborist will be able to cut away dead or dying branches, prevent limbs from threatening property structures, and reshape the tree to its natural form.

When to remove your tree:

A tree that is dead or problematic often needs to be removed. You should remove a tree when:

  • Your tree is severely damaged and cannot be fixed by pruning

  • If your tree has shallow root, weak wood that keeps getting damaged, or drops a large amount of debris that is capable of damaging your property

  • When the trunk of the tree is severely damaged with lots of dead branches, large wounds and vertical cracks. This is an indication that the tree is internally damaged.

  • Having dead branches on just one side of your tree is extremely dangerous as it will make your tree lopsided.
